Fish with a buddy today and started out fishing raps near Deer Island and caught a few small sauger and some white bass. No legal walleye. Went up to Point No Point and threw shad raps and ring worms in the afternoon. IT was a bit windy at times. Caught 3 small bass on the cranks and 2 nice walleyes on ringworms. Threwing them right up to shore and swimming them back worked on a light jig. The big one was 26 inches and we let her go. Lots of white bass too. I can’t wait to get back out next saturday. It wasa good day to be fishing.
