My son, Mitchell, and I spent a couple hours down on Pool 4 this afternoon. We visited with our good friend Dean at Everts to get the heads up on what has been working. In case you folks have not been into Everts lately, Dean is now carrying some new, custom color ringworms he had made for Everts. I grabbed a couple B-Fish-N ringie packs and one or two of the Everts colors too. Dean recommended I pick up an additional color as well. It was a good decision. We caught every fish today on that color.

Mitchell and I boated at least 20 sauger in three hours and lost several more because we were too busy landing fish already being fought. Today’s bite was one of the most stellar bites I’ve seen on Upper Pool 4 both in quantity and quality.

Look at the size of these hosses!!!

Mitchell recommended it was time to go home but said “…one more fish”. Barely a minute went by when another absolute pig hit the ringie. This sauger was as big as a football and put every fish in the pics to shame. Unfortunately, the camera batteries were done and we couldn’t get the pic.

Guys, raise your right hand and repeat after me…”I will listen to Dean when he recommends a specific color to me!!!”

With the weather in a stable pattern, I recommend you make the trip down to Everts and Pool 4 to get in on this bite.
