You are right Steve. I mean’t pool 4. I’ve been lucky enough to be able to spend alot of time on the water the last couple weeks and all that sun must be cookin my brain. [no In-depthangling hats yet you know]. Next week I will get to spend 4 more days on the water too [not counting this coming weekend too] so you better keep an eye on me to make sure I keep things straight. lol. Got myself one of those fancy hats [that Nate doesn’t want to be seen with me wearing] and might have to wear it on the water to keep the head/face from cookin. Its a Ecnook wanna-be hat for sun protection. See what happens when Ecnook starts a new ”fad” going on the river! At least it will help from from continueing to fry the sides of my face. Lost a layer of skin there a month or so ago so now maybe I had better hide under my new hat hey. Thanks, Bill

Plfuggy. Are you finding the sheepies on the riprap also? The speed you are fishing is interisting. We ran the riprap on 2 at about 2.5. Found no big fish at this speed. They where there a month ago. We did manage to pick up one eye off of the sand flat. Not sure if there where more there or not.

Thanks for the report. On Sunday morning I was also out on Pool 3. I mainly concentrated on the wingdams but only caught one small walleye on medium sized dace minnow and a sheepie on a jig. I trolled some rip rap downstream and caught a 6-7 lb. sheepie that inhaled a Wally Diver. I’ve struggled the past couple of weeks on Pool 3. I was hoping the increased current and cooler water would make for some active fish on the wingdams. I marked some suspended fish off the tips of some wingdams but couldn’t manage to catch them… whatever they were. I talked to a couple of boats at the ramp that had fished the Croix and they didn’t do very well.
