If you were gonna drive 200 miles tomorrow to fish #4 would you fish the top of the lake or the river? Many thanks!…..B

I’m driving 50 miles from the Twin Cities. I’ll be in the river from the top of the lake to the dam. I’m sure you have checked out the reports from the main page.

It depends on if you want to go walleye fishing or sauger fishing,,,,,

The walleye fishing on the river has been very good from the top off the lake all the way up to the dam area with the average size fish running 18″ to 20″ and the numbers have been good! Myself and a buddy had a 3 man limit of eye’s today rigging crawlers. Guys fishing right up at the dam have been doing good on sauger, anything from plastic, hair jig and minnow combos and blade baits.

Good fishin and I will see ya on the river!
