With all the behind the scenes activities I have been involved in, I have had little time to post on Pool 3. Suffice it to say, times I have been out, the fishing has been tough and inconsistent. One day, wing dams are hot, next day dry! Backwaters are not holding baitfish like years past. Concentrations of decent fish have been hard to find. We need flow! I am trying a rain dance today! I hope there are no In-Depth camera guys around. It won’t be pretty!

Glad to hear I’m not alone. I was hitting pool 3 pretty hard the last two weeks and avaraged 1 good fish per trip out of 2 guys fishing. Very few numbers. One night not a single walleye.
I’m at least getting familiar with all the wing dams and GPS’ing those I get fish on. I will be set for the fall wing bit when it comes. Saw a school of smallies that had pinned a school of minnows right against the shore last Thurs night. Thought it was silvers from a distance.
Pretty neat. We caught about 6 of the small to medium sized bass before leaving them alone. Here’s a shot of our best pool 3 fish so far. This was two weeks ago. It’s 25″ but looks smaller because the person holding it is a BIG guy.
