Don’t mean to steal your post Mike, but my question is do we have true sauger’s in the river? I’m pushing 60, and have been fishing the river for a lot of years(probaly 55).I remember when a 14″ sauger was talked about. Is it the tech. we have today, improvement in the food chain in the river,or are they saugeyes? I was below the Winona dam today and have never seen so many saugs. in the 16-19 inch class caught in my whole life. Just read Mikes report on 21 incher he caught on pool 2. Thanks.
