Wow Joel, that is some piggie! Congratulations! Is that a ringworm hanging out of her mouth? Aren’t ringworms “Bass” baits?

Thanks guys! Wasn’t suppose to happen. I got cancelled from work Friday morning. So I called up MikeW to see if I could hop in with him. We didn’t have a lot of fish that day. Bladebaits and ringworms pitching wingdams brought in 4 or 5 fish.

The 29″ came on the ringworm (Yes John that is a ringie hanging from its mouth) and I thought I had a catfish on at first because it just took off and almost spooled me. And it wasn’t doing the rod pumps like I anticipated. We didn’t get a weight on it; but since no-one can prove otherwise I’m calling it my first 10 lber I figure a 29″ fish this time of year has got to be darn close to 10 lbs or more. Big thanks to Mike for taking me out and putting me on the fish!

That fish sure made the day Joel. If your not going to get a lot of fish you might as well get one of the right ones. I sure hope of the size of the fish coming in now is a good sign of what is going to be biting the rest of this fall and into the winter. Those are some true hogs.

I hope so too Mike! I was looking at Walzer’s Dad’s fish and TBO’s fish and mine and it would appear that mine is kinda lacking in the gut department. But I’m still calling it a 10. Those other two fish are 11’s

Yours had weight issues also Joel. Its just the camera angle or poor quality of the camera phone. The photos of it laying on its side really show a need for Jenny Craig on pool 2. Not sure how they get so fat with all the crank baits and plastics they eat.

My Sympathies Joel. You just keep trying and you’ll get a fish to be proud of yet.

Congrats big guy, you’ve put your time in!

I’ve been waiting all day for you to reply Brian. I just knew that catfish line would reel you in! Thanks for posting the pic sir! Now, if you will excuse me, I have to move on and catch that 30″ willy.

Hook, line and sinker…but what else is new! Good luck. But I hope you don’t catch a 30…until next spring. Give you something to look forward to.

Now, I’m off to find Vandy…he said “damn catfish” in his Hunt/Fish Tv show.
