Cold Springs

fished out of cold springs was going to the dam but water high weeds bad and not a pro. Caught gills in cold springs but nothing outside no one was catching anything outside. Some of you pros might be able to catch fish in high water with lots of weeds but the majority of the weekend fisherman might as well go shopping. Hope the weeds stop before the ice starts. few duck huinters out and about heard some shooting all day dont think they got a lot either.

Anything would have helped we had nice gills and enough for a meal but wanted to at least catch a walleye.

Don’t know anything about that area but it sounded like a river system with a dam and all. If that is the case then current seams and slack water are the keys for high water. High water actually makes it easier to find the walleye in the river cause it tends to concentrate them. It’s those lakes that confuse the heck out of me—I guess that’s why I’m a river rat!
