I am working in Utah this week,so I have been wondering if anybody has been fishing on Pool 4 recently.

I believe there may be some truth to the latest rumor. BK is a closet walleye fisherman, so give us the latest walleye/saug update Brian.

I’ll bet most guys are done with fishing P-4 until spring with all the hunting going on…

I was up on Thursday. The water was up and a little dirty which I usually like. Unseasonably warm, actually hot, man I can’t wait for the sweatshirt weather. Best action for me was on the lake. Spent the morning pitchin and had a couple 23 inchers and a couple eaters. Changed tactics in the afternoon and moved to the dam. Myself and one other boat, unreal, I have never been up there with so little boat pressure. Nothing but sheepies all afternoon. I thought I could at least scratch a few saugers but to no avail. Water temps were still 63 to 64. Just too warm yet, pray for cool nights to let the fall run resume. Looking forward to the saugerama. OUT…….

Tom, I heard the eye’s and saugers loose their teeth when hunting season starts. No sense in going fishing when they can’t chew!!

Over the weekend there were a number of boats fishing the opposite side of the river from me…I didn’t watch them too closely…because they didn’t have the “air” of a catfishermen. I don’t thing they would have stayed in that area all afternoon if they weren’t having some luck.

The temp near the dam was 58 degrees a couple weeks ago and 69 on Sunday…but I’m going to bet it dropped yesterday and today!

Wonder if we’ll see a record sauger again this year…during the Saugerama??

    BrainK,
Didn’t catch any walleyes catfishing, but we did catch a 19 pound 11 ounce flathead walleye fishing sunday afternoon–beautiful fish only a mother could love.

So now your calling me a mother Doc?? Dang, everyone’s name calling!

I was down at Everts last night…Saturday. I woke up a 2 am to let the dogs out. It was glass smooth water. I resisted the call of the river but it was tough!

Looks like the sauger action is picking up along with some pig eyes. Last Sunday the pig channels were on the chomp.

It’s fall, time for the bigguns!!
