Just curious what some favorite techniques might be for fishing wings in the fall. I have not had much success casting cranks in fall, but may not have spent sufficient time trying. I have mostly cast and drifted jigs with mixed success. I am wondering if the areas between wings is a very productive area in fall, for drifting, trolling, etc.? Any ideas?

My favorite is to anchor upstream and work the face of the wing dam with as light a jig as I can tiped with a 4 inch Berkley power craw. Good Luck

Brad(10)and I were out on 9 again today until the 2:00PM monsoon. October has always been one of my best monthes

for rocks period. Still doing the trolling runs over the tops of the dams and casting them. For the first time this fall the walleyes inhaled the cranks like a northern does. Fortunately none of them were over 20 inches cause, they were not going back in the water. Also like Blade baits in the pockets of closing dams. It is hard to beat #5 shad shad raps,or rattlin raps. on shallow rocks of any kind. We spent a couple of hours on the float this morning, and Taylor hair jigs were producing better than blade baits today. Lawrence
