Heading to Thomason for this weekend and will look for some walleyes. Has anybody been out lately on these pools?

FLW is on Pool 14 right now, check the website tonight to see what the day 1 weights were. Fishing has been a little slow from what I’ve been told.

I hit pool 14 last Sunday, Camanche/Albany area. I and my partner threw every thing we could think of for about 6 hours, working wing dams. We ended up with a few blue gills, cats, white bass, carp etc. Not a single walleye or sauger. (Only the second time this year they “skunked” me.)
With the exception of a white, hair crappie jig on white bass, not a single presentation seemed to be consistant.

Hopefully, this cooler weather will kick start the fishing. Good luck!

I met the river and again the river won! Fished Fri and Sat. worked 3 wing dams by Sabula for the two days and not one walleye. only drum, cats and a few bass, I give for now. But I had to scratch my itch and go out to the river. Next time I’ll go back to 14 or all the way back to 4. See ya on the river.

It was a tough day of boat control or lack of in the wind on Friday. Next trip out there will be on 14 later in Oct/Nov. It’s not a long drive and I love the area.
