Pool 6 fish were really hanging on the ends of the wingdams. A lot of short fish but still ended with a nice limit of eaters and one going 23 inches for the big fish. In the afternoon no. five Shadraps firetiger long lineing, speed was not a major factor from 1.4 to 3 MPH was the ticket. Wingdams that ended about 8 feet deep droping off into at least 12 feet on outside bends held the most fish . Trolled from the main channel in towards shore right over the end of the wingy as soon as it bumped rocks you were bit. The upriver face of the wingy only produed two fish, they would not even look at it if trolled from shore towards the channel.
The walleyes were so spot specific on the ends, anchored and, tried throwing cranks, jigs, and James favorite split shot and bait. Not even a nibble or sheepie go figure ??????????.
As the sun started to go down the color changed to perch and the walleyes moved up a little shallower on the ends, still not many fish moved to the front of the wingy.
Good Luck
Tom
