I finally have a day off!(Tuesday) Haven’t been on pool 4 for well over a month. Anyone care to share some good starting points? Last time I was out, trolling cranks in the deer island area was o.k.. Every day is different on the river, I know. How are the wingies by wabasha? I just would like to eliminate dead water, for my precious days off are far and few between these days. Thanks for any input.

43 minutes is a tough timeline. I can see at least one reliable source of info in the who’s online replying to your question but he types sloooooow.
Never fear… help is on the way. It just gets there at a snails pace.

This end of 4 has been reasonably consistant for trolling and jig dragging crawlers and leachs.Reading the water for current has been the key to find active fish. The head of the lake I am told has been hit n miss as compared to the fantastic bite of 2 weeks ago.Suspended fish are cooperating for the board pullers and of course leadcore is putting saugers in the boat as well.JSR # 5 redcraw,browncraw and firecraw have been the most consistant color patterns on this end.
