Just looked at my log book because I couldn’t remember the last time I fished pool 4 and shocked myself to see the last time was on April 12 Pool 2 and Mille Lacs have kept me busy.

Sure hope I can get back into the swing of things as quickly as you! Can’t wait till tomorrow AM. Thanks for the report.

I’m sure we’re all going to do well with the kiddies over the weekend if we just keep it simple. That little split shot rig resulted in near non-stop action on everything from walleye, sauger, whities, catfish and sheepshead. I’ll see you on the water tomorrow AM Jon. We’ll compare notes.

    James:
I was going to bring up the low levels in the Wisconsin channel at the rules meeting tomorrow night for the Frontenac Sportsman’s Club Walleye & Sauger Classic tournament this Saturday. Whereabouts are the “nasty spots” that you are aware of. I would hate to see a bunch of boats run the back channel and get themselves into trouble. Thanks a bunch!!

From the high lines upstream to the cabins is the worst of it. Things have moved around in the there quite a bit.

Going downstream, past the low bridge, at the fork, you have to stay way to the Minnesota side as the sand bar goes way out. There is another large sand bar at the next right hand bend on the inside.
