I have mostly fished lakes. I want to branch out and try more river fishing. I have read that pool 2 has great potential for big Walters and smallies. Any one have suggestions regarding productive areas to cast or troll crankbaits? Also, whats swimming in PigsEye lake?

Casting wingdams and rocks can be good for walleyes. Trolling wingdams, riprap shores and sand flats can be good also.

I havent spent much time in pigs eye lake. Think its just a very shallow back water lake. Theres carp in there. Anyone else spend much time in there?

Pig Eye lake is shallow. Mostly 2 feet or less. There are a couple wash out area that are deep, but as mentioned infested with carp back there. There is deep water in some of the cuts and in the connecting mud lake. But, that bite doesn’t really start to take off until mid Oct most years. Nice place to tuck out of the wind on those chilly fall days.
