    Thanks to Gretchen Benjamin of the Wisconsin DNR, FTR has posted a new Fisheries Aticle showing the results of YOY Walleye and Sauger sampling data recorded from 1980-2000 in pools 5, 8, and 10.

    Okay, now the analyst in me is thinking. I thought that ‘eyes and saugers inhabited similair spawning habitat, spawned at roughly the same time, and was expecting the numbers to follow more closely.

    From what I saw, it looked like there was little or no correlation between ‘good’ years between the two. Some years one clearly dominated the other, with no apparent pattern or periodicity.

    I think I need a certified smart guy (CSG) to ‘splain it to me.
