    A #5 jointed SR5 has no trouble getting down 10-12 feet, especially on a braided line. I don’t have my trollers bible in front of me, but I suspect 140-160 feet would do it, maybe a bit more trolling into current.

    If it were me, however, I’d just pull them on leadcore!

    I agree. I cast and troll JSR5’s more than any other crank. No problem getting down. I’ve tried the larger/deeper #7’s but the fish seem to like the size and action of the #5’s better. Absolutely my favorite crankbait.
