Just a quick post on pool 14 conditions. The wing dam bite has been great if you hit them when the eyes are active. I got out the trolling gear yesterday and hit some of my “short run” spots. 9 legals, one 22″, and a 20+ pound flathead, along with a menagerie of river fish, in 3 hours of trolling. It doesn’t get much better than that! I hope to post a full report after the weekend. Now, it’s time to get back at ’em!

I ran the boat and my sister ran two trolling rods. She caught every fish! I did have to assist with the flathead, it was probably in the 25# range. She could not get it off the bottom and was afraid she was going to lose one of my “secret” lures.

Rick, sorry I missed your p.m. until midday yesterday. Fishing was much slower, but we managed a few midday, sweat your 
off wing dam eyes.
i bet ur sis had a great time john. didn’t make it out today. saturday i started early and quit by 9am. my prize fish of the morning was a bronze back 15 3/4″ long. have no idea what it weighed, but really great to see our pool supporting them. she/he looked like a football, i thought sure i had my first trophy eye, wow what a fun fish to catch. wished i had a camera along but maybe catch her another day. caught on a wing dam with jig/leech combo.
