I tried the Chippewa River close to home this evening. Nothing hitting on shad raps, walleye divers, thundersticks,

or twisters. The only thing I could fill the bucket with was other people’s empty beer cans and trash. Boy I sure love the river and surrounding area and it makes me sick that people can carry in full beer cans and they can’t seem to be able to lift the empty’s on the way out. Oh well the banks are clean again . I’m going upstream a few miles tomorrow AM with some leeches and give them a try. Good luck everyone and remember to carry out what you carry in. Thanks

I caught a muskie on a Suick right as the weather changed Saturday on the Chip. It was great!

My fishing partner picked up the last 1/4 pound of leeches at Shiels ? about 2 weeks ago. He left for some mule

deer hunting and on our last trip out he donated them to me. I should of took them with last night but thought I had some crawlers. Once I got to my spot I learned all crawlers were dead and shriveled. I just used cranks and plastics but didn’t do any good.Might be the cold? I didn’t get out early but I’m heading out now for a couple of spots where walleye’s and perch usually hang out during the day and if I do any good I’ll post a message. I’m also going to pick up some fatheads and try for walleye’s again tonight.
