3 FTR Field Staffers are fishing this event.
After day one:

Chris Tuckner and Leroy Carl 5 fish 8.11 lbs for 30th place
Lawrence Ecklor and Tony Crites 5 fish 6.73 lbs for 47th place.
Paul Kennebeck’s team is currently in 3rd place with 5 fish for
18.43 lbs
146 teams are competing in this two day event.
Good luck on day two guys! Go get em!

They’re talkin’ 20 to 30 mph North winds tomorrow in Hudson. Could be a tough bite. Hopefully, local knowledge will kick in. Best of luck Turk, Tuck and Lawrence
Also “In The Money” are FTR contributors Randy Stevens & Randy Tenley with 10.21pounds, 5 fish. 17th place.
Hang on to your hats and good luck!

Wife says I better not quit my day job!!! HEY WAIT A SECOND THIS IS MY DAY JOB —— Humbling is when you loss two nice fish,(SHEEEBA’S), near the boat,(1 each day). and realize you still might not have cashed a check. LAWRENCE
Hey Lawrence how did you do today we finished 12 with 21.85lbs did you get any fish in our little spot we got all of ours right around the corner. my partner was sort of dissapointed that we didn’t cash another big fish check today our big one today was only 6.08 not as big as yesterdays.
good luck if you fish that tourney down south in two weeks
Nate
Nate- All,
Nice job! I see from the tournament final standings sheet that you weighed 4 fish day one and 3 fish day two, too bad your team couldn’t turn three more small fish another 5.5 pounds you would have near 7th!
We turned 4 day one and then 5 day two all with moderate size for 25.56 pounds -10th place. As Bill (Croix River Rat (Brat)) said about our spot, “a top ten finish in our first MWC event ain’t too damn bad! It was a real experience for sure.
Very glad to meet some folks especially, Eric and Craig Anderson out of Mound, MN, watched them fish/work and could plainly see two great sticks fishing, they turned 5 both days for 29.41 pounds and took fourth place. One of the best things about tourny’s is the opportunity to watch the pro go!
Keep catchin’
Turk
I would just like to say congrats to a great second place finish of the team of Mathees and Conway. Just goes to show that you don’t need to be fancy to compete with the big dogs.
Bear
Turk,
10th place? Nicely done. Too bad the Vikes don’t play as well as you fish. (sorry, couldn’t resist)
Nate the big one we were all looking for was right in front of the timber on the far south end. I should mention that the pole with the big fish on that got away both days was in my hands. We only had that fish on and two 14 inchers on that spot, Sunday. The Sunday fish by the look and feel of it, just before it went home-, was the size of the one that we got at the tourney there last fall plus about 2lbs. Congratulations to all the top 25 and also thank you for the multitude of tips from a few freinds – you know who you are—and to my partner for tearing up his arm for two days fighting the wind and waves with his tiller, and covering most of the expenses.
I’m already counting the days till next years MWC at Red Wing . Maybe top fifty next year??????? Lawrence
Turk,
I went to the chiropracter today. I woke up this morning and my back was killing me and I couldn’t figure out why, then I relized it was from carrying you all weekend at the tourney! I’m just kidding-remember the power of positive and were it got us this weekend at Lake City. Thanks also for the good words from everyone on FTR.FISH ON!!!!!
“Power of positive” from Mr. Negative himself!!?!?!?!!! JK Billy!!! Hope you’re doing good… sounds like it if you’re fishin’ as much as it appears!
Birdboy over-n-out.
