Pool 4 Reports Anyone?

    I became very ill Wednesday night and am finally feeling better as of today. So, I missed the opener. Does anybody have any pool 4 reports?

    M wife and I were out Friday evening. We were trolling leadcore in 15-16 fow early evening. They then moved into 13.5 fow, very specifically. If we were deeper or shallower there was nothing. Ended up with 9 or 10 saugers 16-18 inches. #5 shads in firetiger and purple/white. Good luck!

    I have only had the chance to hit the river for one full day in the last month . I have had a couple of other very short 2-3 hour outings. Fishing as been fair/good for those making it out. 3-waying bait and trolling cranks has been productive. Dragging jigs has been very good for some that have reported back to me as well.

    I have been away from the river for to long to have a lot more info than the above. I hope to be on the water for 9 straight day starting this Saturday

    Couple of buddies hit pepin on Saturday, trolling cranks. They had 12 nice saugers (15″-20″) within 4 hours.

    Wisconsin channel is holding fish. Trolling seemed to produce many fish, but I did see others have good luck with three-way rigs, not sure what they were baiting with though. Caught fish from 4-8 FOW.

    In the morning there were several boats 15-20 working the head of the lake, but I didn’t see many fish being caught.

    The trolling bite at the head of the lake was pretty darn good for my boat. We had four fish in three short runs, but got tired of playing bumper boats. There was way too much traffic for my liking. I wonder if the five or six boats in Katrina’s were catching anything? Seems to be a pretty popular spot these days. I wonder why

    Little one is great, keeping me plenty busy. If I make it out i will be spending my time from Everts down to the middle of the lake in search of fish. Might take me sometime to get a feel for whats going on out there since I have not talked to hardly anyone who’s been on the water much.

    Have not been out with Spencer since this spring. He fishes more than I do now, he needs to be taking me
