Anyone been out on pool 6

    I was jsut wondering if anyone has gotten out lately on pool 6. I am heading up there this weekend from Omaha Nebraska, and wanted to see what the bite was like and any rigs that are working. Just moved out here from Wisconsin and all this corn and so little water are driving me nuts. Thanks in advance for any help anyone can give me.

    Fished pool 6 week and a half ago. Water was way up and a lot of current. Was tough but long lined the cuts into the sloughs where there was rock and the wingdams. Was tough getting the number 5 Shad Raps perch in the right place along the rocks. But when I did I would always get bit. Tried three way and casting cranks but long line seemed to work the best. Weeds and debris were a constant problem also.

    Hey Luke, welcome to FTR. I can’t be of much help on pool 6 but to help you get a fishing fix between trips up this way you can click on the site below and it will take you to FTL. Scroll down til you see ”Iowa Lakes” and there will be a discusion forum along with some Iowa lake forums about lakes that will be closer to where you are living now. Hope this helps. Thanks, Bill
