Does anybody know if the Vermillion River is border waters? If I am reading the Regs right, it says any water inside the MN side railroad and the WI side railroad. Is this correct?

Track to track…so anyplace the vermillion is between those two tracks it’s boarder waters.

Go under the tressle and it’s one rod per person.

Brians right…..If you launch at DuShanes and go down river…….Go under the tressle and you are now in inland waters. Closed to Walleye, but open to Crappies.

    Chappy,

If you put in at Duchanes, pretty sure that is inland waters. It’s not border water until you get way down river by the Prarie Island power plant tressel.

Nope……You made me think about it though! You cross over the tracks to get to the landing, So right there your inside the tracks,Until you get to the tressel down river. I’m 100% sure.

Think again Chappy, everything above the first tressle is inland waters so Dushane’s is way inland.

Chappy is correct. Dushane’s (Actually Trudale) to Blackbird Trestle is Boundary waters. From Blackbird to PI is inland. Dushanes is North of the tracks, which is what the main channel of Pool 3 goes by.

If you follow along those same tracks, you will come to North Lake, which is also boundary waters because it is on the North side of the tracks like Dushane’s.
