Hows fishing in red wing lately and what have you been useing cause i have been going to lake peppin and we have been chatching some trolling but it is very slow and they have not been very big.

Hi Jighead,
I was out on Sunday, spent all of the day except for about 1hr in the main river around the Redwing area. Fishing was fair, we had some nice fish with a lot of smaller fish as well. All of my walleye came pitching jig’s and leeches to current breaks and back eddies along shore. The fish were real shallow in 6’of water or less, the only thing we caught deeper were the sheepies, biggest fish of the day came in about 1′ to 2′ of water right up on the bank.We tried crawlers and casted cranks as well but the leeches were the only thing that was doing it for us.
