I fished both pool 4 on Saturday. Water temps are on the rise, water is on the drop. It seemed to me the fish were all over and if you could not find a current seem next to deeper water you you were not on fish. Green hair or purple with minnows worked well. Also, bright plastics with firecraker Chart. beeing the best for me. Fishing was slow for me but I found the best numbers of eaters by the dam. I mostly caught fish too big or too small to take back to Mama for dinner. There were about a Kajillion boats at the “Y” on Saturday. I have no idea how they did, as I wanted no part of the floatilla. I fished from the no wake zone in redwing to the dam. The fishing was spotty but caught enough to keep me interested.

On Sunday, it looked to be an awesome day, but I suddenly remembered I forgot to put my new boat stickers on, I left them at home! So, at about 9am, I booked off the water! I wonder how folks did on Sunday, it was great weather and the temps on the water are comming up nicely.

So, now it is back to gills and cuttting timber. Thanks again for all your help Dean!!! I really enjoy fishing pool #4. It was nice to visit with you again!!

    Bob.

Smart choice on getting off the water yesterday. The warden(S) were out with ticket books in hand..

    Fishing was slow for us.

Mark Steffes and I struggled too. We spent the day pitching, dragging plastic and pulling 3-ways with cranks. We ended up with one nice 19″ eye and a handful of smaller fish. The guys in the lock channel looked to be doing pretty well in the afternoon with very slow, do-nothing presentations.

I managed to get out about 3:00 pm… Dean, as always, you’re a gentleman and a scholar! Dustin – thanks for helping me launch, wish you could have hopped in and given me some schooling out there too! I could have used the help… dragged plastics at the “Y”, up by the wingdams, and along the shorelines. Also tried basic jigging but real lazy – just a slow drop-n-lift-n-hold. Thought I had a few bites but no solid takers. Seems the fish were biting light and short. Probably should have gone with a hair-jig/stinger/meat but oh well. The weather was awesome and it was great to be out on the water.
