I was on the river yesterday for a wonderful day of fishing. Weather was great and the company was even better. A good freind of mine Joe Peters joined me yesterday. Needlees to say we didn’t get on the water till 8:30. Joe forgot to buy a liscence and i figured we could just buy one at Dean’s. Well that didn’t work out but thanks for the help Dean.

We were purly fishing for the #’s yestersday. We ended the day with 21 walleyes and saugers. The biggest walleye being 19 1/2 inches and the biggest sauger being 18 3/4 inches. We were fishing stricly in the sand and eddy’s and cuts. Tried for a piggy in a few different spots and had no sucess. Had real good sucess with the sturgeon. They were loving the blue floaters. Caught a 40 some incher was a pretty good fight. Got the heart going anyway.

The water temp was 39.4 in the morning and warmed up to 41.2 in the afternoon. The fish were caught in 6-14 FOW. The bait of choice was a hair jig with meat. It was a
    great day on the water.
Just wanted to say thanks to Dean again for everything and we did head down river and there was nothing there marked a couple fish and that was it .

Good job, thanks for the report. Going and try to make it down next week sometime….again. When you say down river, did you try around Hay Creek?
