Rough night on Pool 2. High, dirty, full of debris (sticks for your props and leaves for your bait). Managed 3 small eyes in about 3 hours. The water is up about 10′ from a week and a half ago. We only fished cranks, if I make it out again I would probably bring some live bait and focus on the areas well out of the current.

From the confluence to the dam. We launched at Lillydale and it didnt look much better from there downriver.
The pic that Jon took, that is from an area that is usually dead calm-but last night even that area next to the wall was in heavy current. We had to go all the way into the lock to find calm water last night. The water coming over the dam was spashing and coming up 6-10′ from water level-pretty impressive.

I relocated to another employment contract position and brings me even closer to Pool 2 than I used to be so getting down there this fall should be a breeze. I was actually thinking of getting down there this week for a break from Mille Lacs, but after seeing that pic, I think I may wait.
