Took my youngest son with me for a few hours this afternoon. Nice day. I forgot what it’s like to fish without 30mph winds blowing the boat all over. 
Paddle tails took all 5 fish we got and the misses we had as well. firecracker/chart tail. Had 2 short eyes that went back. The good news is I FINALLY caught fish on plastics, 
. Seemed to be a very differnt bite, than when they hit a minnow. Looking forward to many more fish without getting my hands wet. Marked fish from 17-25 when we started. Our last run at about 6:30 was in 13-15 ft and I was marking fish, caught one of the short eyes there. I have had enough of the weather for now 
. I’ll be back out when the next batch of snow melts. sheeeeesh
