Fished yesterday from 11-5:00 boated one short eye and lost one. Hadn’t been at the dam this year and was lower than other times I had went in past years, but relativly new to river walleye fishing. tried various plastics rings and k grubs, 3/8 jig in numerous colors. fished anchored by float in 10-20 foot with no takers but did see a few being caught on float, drifted the wisc. rocks, and by the wall talked to a few boats not a lot going anywhere ended up in the silos slower current and all hell broke loose. Through out slip sinker and floating head/minnow and caugth the short one, and lost one in about a 5 min span. AND THAT WAS IT. To nice of day to work had to try it. any pointers welcome.

I was there on the 26th from 7-10am and it was some decent fishing. I was anchored off the rocks and could have went home with a limit, but threw a couple good fish back so I could keep fishing, but by 9am the bite seemed to slow down and it was getting a little crowded, so I left. The fish seemed to prefer purple(k-grubs and super-doos), I did see a couple landed by people fishing chartreuse from the rocks

This early in the year don’t be scared to head south of the dam and fish some sand flats and current seems caused by points and wing dams on pool 9
