We were trolling cranks on Pepin last week, two to three keepers each time. One thing we did notice was, we were snagging fewer Zebra mussels than last year. (like none) Wondering if anyone else noticed this?

Seems like the last couple years I have noticed that there are less of them. The first year they were a real pain as the would cut your line and steal your crankbaits. But they did clear the water up alot which does help the fishery. But I haven’t seen very many at all this past year but I did spend most of it in the river above Lake Pepin. How about anybody else? Thanks, Bill

Yes, thats why when you catch a Sheepie you have to give it a kiss before you gently put it back. Thanks, Bill

well… maybe everyone but muddlinthru….. he cant seem to control himself… and a kiss might just lead to the fish going down the hatch!

He does seem to have a ”special” affection for the Sheepies doesn’t he?!!
