i have been watching this sight for about three years but tonight i registered for the first time. i was going to head too lxnksville yesterday (sat). but my fishing buddy had to back out at the last minute

but then last night i read about how much ice is moving down the channel and was glad that i did not go. Just wondering if anyone can tell me if there is still a lot of ice and how high is the water at the dam.

Well, the rollers are up, the current is booking and there is a lot of ice between Genoa and Lynxville that has to come down yet. I would guess the ice will be there for a while. Man the ice was all over the river and really moving this weekend. I think they want the ice to break up and go away ASAP. Don’t the barges start running like middle of March?
