Hit Lake Pepin Saturday, 6-14 with my son for a Father’s day early treat. Did not expect the day we had. Within 10 minutes I landed my second largest walleye, 29 3/4″ and 9.0 lbs, 10 minutes later hit a second fish, that on any other day would have been fantastic, the “little one” was 27 1/2″ and 7 1/2 lbs! Both on green and black superdoos tipped with a leech out of 10′ of water. We both needed a break after that! Both were released. I have attached pictures of both.

This will be one Father’s day that I will never forget.

Congrats on the great catches! What time of day did you catch them? I see you’re wearing a jacket………….early?

Great fish !! Both of mine wouldn’t = that length. LOL. You must have been fishing very early or late, as it was quite toasty yesterday.

What kind of structure were you fishing?

We were pitching to rip-rap over a fairly steep break into deeper water.
