A friend is going to fish this pool next weekend for Walleyes and saugers. Where is a good bait shop, a place to launch? Any hints on techniques and what they are baiting on and general locations. All help is appreciated. Thanks Chacago

Stop into Captain Hook’s Bait and Tackle in Genoa, if you need a room the Big River Inn,(Genoa), has been satifying my guide customers for three years now. Want a cool one after fishing… Whiskers, Tuna’s,(owned by a scary walleye guy), and Rudy’s are all nice little bars. Gas and snacks-groceries are available at Pedrettis. Pool Nine gave up and 8# Eye on the fishing float, 9# Eye to Laverne and Daves boat and several other nice walleyes ,(15 to 20), today. We also got a very nice smallmouth today and some northern as a bonus. The sheephead are still nuts, too.

Hey Lawrence, I`m going to be staying at the big river inn from this wed – sat, fishing the wat in lacrosse this weekend. I have been going there for about 15 or so years now and the last 5or so have been better since the new owners took it over. Alot of people had bad tastes in there mouth from the old owner, including myself. When fishing the area it`s the best place I know of.WWW.bigriverinn.com. 608-689-2652. Tell them John from Chicago sent you. John Mannerino
