I’ve beat him to the shop a couple of times. It probably depends on the day of the week….a guy has to sleep in once in a while

I wouldn’t worry about it, if he’s not up and running around, I’d just launch and catch him on my way in, but I bet he’s up and running pretty early, especially on the weekends.

Just watch out, every now and then he comes out in a robe, and if there is a little breeze , well some things are best left to the imagination

Hey king…you’re tunin’up for the Croix a little early aren’t ya? Stay away from the Mississippi…there are no fish around Pool4! Stay home and get ready for the April opener around Afton!

Yeah, I don’t expect to catch anything down there – heard that the reports of fish stacked up, big pigs, and the scenery is all hype. Thought I better go down and check it out for myself – really, just miss being on the boat, on the water

REAL fishing doesn’t start until April 28th On the Croix you actually have to work for them, they don’t just jump on your hook like in Pool4

by how poorly I did at the Afton Channel last year, I’d have to agree with you!!! (Although I did manage a few of those darn rough fish that purr and growl when you pull them up — what do they call those??? TigerFish, LionFish, FelineFish???? Something like that!

Hey BK, does Catfish Bar serve you boatside?

I’m hoping they have enough help this year to serve the tables they have. I went there three times last year. All three times we watched as customers got up and left because of service times. The last time, I went inside to let them know we were outside and a lady was going off on a server..because of how long they waited for their food…I told the FW if we wanted to eat, we better go somewhere else.
Again, I hope it’s better this year.

Dean, Just wanted to thank you for the great tips today! We didn’t rule the water but had a great time anyway…

RedNeckJr: thanks for the help and for teaching me a few new techniques I can put in my arsenal! If anyone gets a chance to fish with this fine young man, take the opportunity…

No problem, Thank you for taking me along. I had a great time. I always enjoy teaching people new techniques to make them better fishermen. We’ll have to do it again sometime. I learned some new things also, that pitchin blades can be some fun.

    Dean,
We did anchor by the way. We were the boat next to you when you were pitchin.
