Sounds good, huh. The only problem was they were cookie cutter 10-12″ers. I did get 4 around 18″, striped bass, sauger and a fun 4lb catfish too. Most of the action came from 7-9pm.

Fished on Sunday evening above the confluence. Saw a lot of boats, didnt see any big fish caught. The ones I caught were in slower moving water outside of the channel in 5-8′, but I didnt find any takers in the slack water area.

I have always noticed that the size of the fish isnt as good on the weekends when a lot of traffic stirs up the river all day. Maybe the same areas will produce some better size.

Fun day on the water anyway.

How were you fishing them Dave? Trolling or pitching jigs?
the water still looks a little high from the 494 bridge but maybe coming down a little??

Everything came on cranks long lined. I was trolling fairly fast, I dont have a speedometer or tach, but it was a swift walking pace up and down the shore-probably 3mph. The action picked up when I increased the speed over idle.
