Sunday was a really good day, we caught a hodge podge of fish. I started off in Lake Potter. It only took 10 minutes to hook up with a decent eye (19 incher). I fished Potter’s for an hour more and caught 3 more eye’s. It started getting busy so I moved out to the river. I drifted Credit Island and had some luck with the kitty kat’s and sheepies. Then I went up to Arsenal dam, where we had a blast caughting stripper’s and white bass. The water’s high and running fast, but there are some nice fishing to be had. There is some timber floating down river, so be very careful while out there.

Oh…..the bait for the day was leeches…..

    Hey river rat,
I made it out on pool 14 for a couple hours Sunday afternoon. We picked up 4 eaters, from 16-18″, on ringworms fishing the flooded willows. Most of the fish were in 1-3 feet of water. Brother also shortlined a 7+ lb. slime monster northern…. what a ruckus that fish made. Hit right at the boat and gave him a great fight!

    Hey John,
I see you and your brother had some fun too! That’s great to hear. So what color ringworm did you get them on? I fished some plastic on sunday, but no takers. Everything that I and the wife caught was on live bait. Let me know when you plan on going out again, I’ll try to get up that way. Well gotta go. Talk to you soon.

    Tony,
We tried a half dozen different colors and types of plastic before the first 2 fish came on Orange/Pink ringworm for me and Chartruese/pepper for my brother. We stuck with those after catching fish, did not have enough time to experiment any more. Fishing time may be scarce for a little while, but I’ll P.M. you before I go out again.
    John
