So what’s up with pool 4 people? Please no links to the hydrological statements. Just wondering whose been on it, how bad the dead heads and debris are etc. I would like to get on the pool Friday at the earliest.
    Thanks again!

The gates are wide open and the water is high…. there is a lot of crap in the water.. but if you are patient and carefule driver of your boat. you will be fine…. I am excited about the high water… (except for the potential of the flooding of stinky pond) I think that it should be great…..

When will the river crest? How long before things will be more near normal? I am planning a memorial weekend trip with the wife. How dirty does the lake get in high water? Do the fish move closer to shore in these high water periods? Are the ramps still usable? I am particular interested in the condition of the ramp at Frontenac.

    Any information would be appreciated.

Ummm, I’m very curious, yet very scared to ask.

    What is stinky pond?

Well… OK. It is a little secret. For now anyway. It’s a small pond off the main channel on Pool 4 that receives fresh stocks of panfish everytime it floods. It’s weed choked. It stinks to high heck of rotten weeds and swamp gas. Not a place to romance the wife or girlfriend over a bottle of wine on a moonlit night. But…

    That’s all I’m gonna say…lol

If it is where I’m thinking, we used to call it Lake in Lake

I wasn’t sure what we should name it so …. stinky pond is fine… I hear there have been some nice smallmouth sightings there recently…//// If it wasn’t for that damn smell and the railroad tracks that would be a nice peaceful cattin spot…
