Had a decent time on the water Wed. evening. Not alot of boats and the eyes were really in a feeding mood. Caught lots of smaller fish but some nice fish also. Must have boated 30 fish in 3hrs of fishing. Used leeches and willowcats, with leeches the best producer for the larger fish. Did keep a couple for the pan, but the rest were returned. Good luck to all, next few weeks should be very good.

I plan on fishing Pool 8 05/15 thru 05/18. You mentioned that you used leeches and willowcats. How were you fishing these baits? On a jig casting to shore, vertical jigging or trolling live bait rigs upstream? What types of areas did you concentrate on by the dam, wingdams, riprap? I don’t get to the area but once a year and any information that you could provide would be much appreciated? Thanks.

I was using a slip sinker, just above the wingdams. Just a plain hook and the needed weight. at the water level last week I used 3/16 ounce. With the water rising like it is, wingdam fishing will be tough. Good luck tho John
