One word to describe today……..WINDY WiNDY WINDY oh and cold. The fish also were a little on the lite bite size and we had trouble keeping them hooked. Only got down for prolly 3 hours or so and lost 2 real nice walleyes well over 20 inches at the boat and boated only one under legal walleye a nice little pike and a couple 20+ inch wallayes. We wanted to fish the head of the lake but weather kinda played a role there we tried Bay City where we lost a nice fish on 3 waya nd clown crank, trolled some of the Wisc. channel with not much action either. Worked the channel from collville to Bay City to get out of the wind after that. Lots of fish on but were just catchin the back trebles and often times shakin off. White bass were thicker than thick along and under the 63 Bridge on the Minnesota side. We mainly trolled 3 way and cranks today in depths everywhere from 6 to 26 feet with fish pocketed everywhere in between. The prefered colors for the fish that would bite seemed to be clown and fire tiger floating rapalas and Stamina cranks. Didnt do any live bait 3 waying though cause of time. This first pic is one of the two 22 inch fish tippin at 3.5 and the other at 4 pounds. These fish looked like little footballs comin out woudl have loved to see them with spawn wow these fish are lookin healthy this year. The first here is the smaller of the two nice fish of the day. Overall though it was a very very slow day but any day on the water is a good day to me.
