When I drove across the highway 63 bridge going into Red Wing today I saw one hearty soul out in his/her boat fishing below the bridge. Must have been a cold day for open water.
I hope everyone out there today caught a good limit. You deserved it. 
Brrr…that would be cold, not saying that I wouldn’t have been out there if I could have but it definetly would have been cold.
You think that was cold? Try a -27 degree, 3 mile hike into the BWCA yesterday morning, Brrrrrrr!!! I only go ice-fishing once a year, but it always seems to be the coldest weekend of the winter! 
I think I really am done with that ice-fishing for good….I mean it this time! 
Lenny, I was looking for you down at Deans today. Figured if anyone was out, it would be you and Jim. I didn’t see a soul under the high bridge, or at Everts. But the launch’s are ready for any one daring enough!

Serious, even gave away my auger! Feels good, too! 
It wasn’t me this time but I will be around both sat and sun. no matter the temp. Hopefully will get out fishing some time as long as Deano says its ok. 
They last I heard the draging bite early and late has been doing good to great for saugers and the walleyes are starting to show themselfs again. Hopefully will get out this weekend and I will report back on how it went.

Helps soothe my cabin fever, and it’s only been 3 weeks since open water. Wish I was closer to buzz over there for a day or two, but that’s gonna have to wait.
