Stillakid and I were there yesterday… best presentation was anchored in a current break up by the dam.. either side was good…. casting 2 1/8th oz jigs tied onto one line…. cast it out perpendicular to the current, let it sink to the bottom.. then let the current work it down into your current break.. then twitch it in along the bottom… watch the line for twitches… often times that is all you will get… but sometimes they hit it hard enough you can feel it.. just depends on the wind and current….. whites are pretty forgiving, so there is no ONE best way to catch them…..

I also fished the area rivereye’s did both tues. and wed. I used a 3-way with just a plain hook + minnow, jigged it a little but caught alot of fish tues. I also used one rod with small sinker and a plain hook and minnow, just cast towards shore and let the current do the work. Tues. 60-70 bass Wed. was a little slower, I think it was alot of carp moveing around that area. But there’s no bad days on the river fishing. Good luck sat,

It’s not my fauly you miss so many Mavs! Pfluggy, I would have traded your day for my last 2. We couldn’t keep the whities off, but the walleye were a little elusive. Managed a few today, but it was tough for us. We could have won any white bass tourney though! .
