Well we had a pretty good weekend. Both saturday and sunday the fish really cooperated with us. We picked up alot of fish in the 15″ to 23″ range. Most of our fishing was trolling crankbaits in 10 to 12 feet of water. We also had some success on three ways with spinners. Most of our time we spent at the mouth of the Rock River and just below the 280 bridge. We did have one casualty, a 6 pounder that inhaled a Wally Diver. All I could see was the lip of the crankbait. When they hit, they really hit hard. I just thought I would let the guys in the Qaud Cities know how we did.

Thanks for the report down yander! I have only had to filet the fish to get a crank out maybe 3-4 time! Two of those times happened last year on a lake here in Mn full of hungry fish!!

Hey Jon, I would much rather lose a 4 dollar crankbait than a 6 pound eye. But I would be lying if I told you I didn’t enjoy a fresh fish dinner, hush puppies and grilled walleye, life can be good.
