Thank you Dean. Wow, what a difference!

I headed to P4 for some afternoon fishing yesterday. As I was talking to Dean, I noticed he had a Re-Action System for the foot control of a Minnkota Power Drive trolling motor for sale. James Holst used one during my guided fishing trip just before Thanksgiving. I told Dean that James spoke highly of it that day. Almost immediately, Dean asked if I would like to demo one. He gave me the demo unit and sent me on my way, along with the hottest Paddle Tail colors of the day.

I used the Re-Action System all afternoon. It’s easy to hook up and it flat out works! This unit allows you to set your normal speed, along with an “over-ride” speed. Just step on the large pedal to get an extra burst of power for as long as you want… take your foot off of the pedal and you’re back to your set speed.

It was a little windy yesterday up by the Y and because of that; I would have been fiddling with my speed control all day long… trying to stay vertical. When I wasn’t able to stay vertical due to wind, I used the “over-ride” feature to quickly get back to vertical. Staying vertical was essential, because if you weren’t vertical you weren’t catching fish.

I had a lot of fun fishing yesterday. The fish cooperated. The weather was fantastic for mid-December. When I got back to Everts, I bought a Re-Action System from Dean because….

    1. Dean allowed me to demo it on my boat.
    2. It made fishing less hectic because I didn’t have to constantly adjust the speed on my foot control.
    3. I believe I caught more fish because I could stay vertical better than without it.
    4. As I mentioned above, it flat out works!

Once again, thanks for your time and help Dean. It is appreciated.

p.s. Now my wife doesn’t have to go X-mas shopping for me!

The cookie munching Ding Dong™ does that with all the St Croix Rods too.

I almost had him convinced to let me demo a pac of Stewart Pro Blue ringworms…but he caught on too quick.

A few weeks back Dean offered to let me take a brand new St.Croix rod with a STELLA reel out for a “try”. Only a heck of a guy would make such an offer! I just couldn’t do it, I would’ve felt awful if that thing went in the river! But it sure was nice of him to offer! Thanks Dean, you are the best in the business!

Yep, the Dean stories are endless.
Saturday the boys were already out so when I showed up we realized we were short a lifejacket. No sweat, walked into the baitshop and Dean had a loaner waiting. I hope everyone out there realizes how very good we have it. Thanks Dean!

2 more advantages that may not be so visible now ,but by fishing with your motor in constant”on” mode and tapping for extra thrust will save considerably on your battery power and also will be much more stealthy and quiet in shallow water. It is great to hear some excitement about this product, Thanks Dan Palmer

Thank you Dean for the free minnows on Christmas Day! I didn’t take any, but it’s the thought that counts. Maybe next year you could scatter a few ringworms in front of the door?

By the way, I couldn’t find you or anyone else to pay for my launch. Was that a Christmas present, too? If not, I owe you double next time!

Seriously, Dean is a real blessing to P4 fishermen. He and his predecessor, Steve, have really turned Everts into something. Years ago I used to drive past Evert’s to launch at the 63 ramp … no more!
