Well today I finally convinced my Dad to come out fishing in HIS new boat that I have been out in many times this year. Knowing that the bite was good on pool 4 I took him down there and told him Dean would tell us everthing we needed to know. I have heard about Dean at Everett’s but had not met him till today. He told us everything we needed to know and we had a blast.
For us 3 keepers and a lot of fun is a successful day.
Thanks to Dean Everything that I have heard about being a great place to launch and buy your bait is right on….when I head down that way I’ll be more than happy to launch there and keep a good guy in business!
I’ll be back down next weekend!
    pics later too.

    Congrats Aaron,
looking forward to seeing some of your pics.
Evert’s has always been the Place to start and end your fishing day, anytime while on Pool 4.
Dean’s predesessor, Steve Vick, got it all started in the right direction, and Dean has done a Wonderful job the last couple of years.
    Good Luck next weekend.
    Jack..

Jack who was the guy that ran everts when Barbs was there? He was the first guy that told me about plastics, He said that all you need to do is go up to the dam an through out the anchor an pitch a white twister tail. I told him that if I seen you through an anchor I would cut your anchor line. And if that these twister tails were so good why did you sell minnows. he told me it becouse guys like you that don’t listen

Funny how now you see more guys fishing plastic than minnows today. My dad kicked my but with superdoos and I had a hair jig and minnow.

Like I said next chance I get I’ll be down there.

Dave just wanted the pic over I guess. But I told him his 1st fish in his boat had to be photographed. Only 17 inches but lots of fun.

My first fall/winter walleye….I am kind of confused with this weather. I don’t go for walleye often so I am a rookie at this so the 19 incher made my day.

Brian, I was kind of hoping have something big hit my line but My Dad and I had a great time and yes that is what it is all about. I told him that you never know what you are going to catch!

I wasn’t sure if I should post this photo…..this is a rare occasion where I kept a couple fish. Only because my family has been bugging me for fish. So I say “merry christmas” when they get the fish.

“My” feelings are that a person shouldn’t have to think twice about posting fish for the frying pan. The hot grease release as one friend would say.

Practice catch and release and take home what you can eat.

    Look at them belly’s!!

Just a funny thing that I heard when I was down there on Saturday. Two guys came in to the bait shop at Everts about one o’clock (I was waiting for my dad to get there). They asked for some more minnows. Eric who was running it for awhile asked how they were doing so far today while scooping the minnows. They replied “We’re catching a lot of fish, but, they’re all dinks.” I turned to my Brother-in-law after they left and said “I know why all that they are catching are dinks, When you have to come in at about one o’clock for more minnows it’s kind of self explainatory.” You can catch fish on minnows (I think) but, day-in and day-out there’s no beating plastics this time of year.
