Hey when you are saying current seam what exactly do u mean? You talking about an obstuction that might push the current out and fishing behind that where the current is diminished because of this break?

Great to see that new Lund boat from Smitty’s Marine in Lake City catching fish. Ok, maybe you had something to do with it! Nice seeing you on the water Sat. Bud. Thanks, Bill

Lets see if I can explain this right. Anyone jump in. On a bend of a river water is being pushed to the outer edge. When the river makes a turn the water makes that turn and current speeds change. The inner corner is going slower and the outer is going faster. Making a seam in a corner of the river. Take like glass of water and throw it in a tub corner. Watch how the water goes fast around the edge against the tub while the water nearest you just kind of bounces off the other water that is going faster that is against the tub. Same on the corner of a river. Does that make sense. I probably just confused you more.

Nice report Jarad! You guys are poking some nice fish down there right now. Way to go!
Have you seen any signs spawned out females down in your neck of the woods yet?

    Steve

Many of the larger walleyes on Pool 4 have spawned now. My second cast on Friday AM was rewarded with a long and skinny 28″ gal that actually made me do a double take when she first popped to the surface. She was my first large post-spawn fish of the season and her streamlined body really startled me after months of catching football shaped piggies.

What are you seeing on your end?

    James,

Unfortunately I have not been out as much as I would have liked over the past week due to some motor trouble. I just got word that the motor repair is completed and now I need to get the break in period taken care before the weekend. I am off to the water in about 2 hours.
I have noticed the water levels have dropped a little more over the week here on Pool 2 due to the lack of precip.

    Erick,

The seam I saw Jarred working was on the right hand side, just above the left hand turn in the river. I saw him working this area, which I was trying to also, but the dang pinpoint I was running was testing my skills(patience). I know many guys who love these things, but I’m still and AP guy I guess. When we did stay in the seam, we had bites. It’s a classic river hot spot.
