Finally!!!!!!!!

    Considering, the bite was slow etc., Friday evening I landed my first true pool 4 trophy walleye!!!!! We put in around 3:00pm and fished until around 8:00pm.

    After catching only a few sauger and small walleye from the dam past Young’s cabin I managed to pull in a 29 1/8 inch post spawn walleye!

    I was casting towards shore, shallow, working it off of a shallow break adjacent to a deeper break. THe cast prior I landed a 10-11 inch smallmouth.

    At first, not expecting such a long fish, I thought it was a channel cat in the distance. Soon I was corrected.

    Caught on a 1/8 oz. jig tipped with a purple and white tailed ringworm!

    Oh great, looks like we lost another trout fisherman. lol

    Seriously, congrats on the big fish. Even if it doesn’t fight as hard on one of those 20″ bull browns.

    Nope, didn’t lose a trout fisherman. I try to go where I can catch while giving myself a nice variety. The waders are calling for this weekend though!!!

    Isnt it just amazing that the good Lord would grace us with beautiful,fish and a beautiful country to boot. I bet they dont catch eyes like these in Iraq. FF
