Considering, the bite was slow etc., Friday evening I landed my first true pool 4 trophy walleye!!!!! We put in around 3:00pm and fished until around 8:00pm.
After catching only a few sauger and small walleye from the dam past Young’s cabin I managed to pull in a 29 1/8 inch post spawn walleye!
I was casting towards shore, shallow, working it off of a shallow break adjacent to a deeper break. THe cast prior I landed a 10-11 inch smallmouth.
At first, not expecting such a long fish, I thought it was a channel cat in the distance. Soon I was corrected.
Caught on a 1/8 oz. jig tipped with a purple and white tailed ringworm!
I’ll try to get photos in soon!
Keep the rods bendin’!!!
