Yup…. Sunday evening was quite the adventure. The motor, the wind, the falling water were all ingredients for a goose-egg in the fishing department. But, it does go to show that Steve doesn’t give up, and will go to any length to get you on some fish. Of course, I’m just as stubborn as he is!
Kudos to Steve in still managing to get some fish in the boat!

I didn’t think there were many large eyes in Pool 2. Man, Was I Wrong. That one that shook the hook at the boat was one big female. Pool 2 has some Hawgs and Steve knows exactly were to find them. Many Thanks Steve.

    Fireline,

This time of year I do like to anchor up. Most days I do find my self re-anchoring a couple times on each wingdam to cover each end of the wingdam, but also more importantly the distance away from the wingdam is also very critical. 15 feet in front of the wingdam will give your lure a certain sweep with the current and 25 feet away will give the fish a completely different look to the same lure due to the angle in which you are presenting the lure to the fish. All these factors have a time and a place and each day and each wingdam can respond differently. Not to make it sound like a difficult task, because its not. It is just a heads up, before you leave the spot and deem it as a “no fish producer” move slightly and you may surprise yourself.
