Went out both Saturday and Sunday this past weekend. Saturday almost didn’t happen though. Got to Everts, launched the boat, the motor was a bit cold and I ended up pulling out the pull string and it wouldn’t recoil. Took the motor apart at the dock, and long story short, the recoil was broken and ended up using the emergency pull string all weekend. Worked great! Many thanks to Everts for lending tools! The weekend wouldn’t have been possible with out them. Ended up catching a few walleyes and sauger both days (largest 20″, which is the 3rd largest walleye I have ever caught ). I caught mine mostly on a chart. super doo with a 1/8 oz. white jig head. My buddy caught his on a 1/8 oz. yellow jig head tipped with a fathead. Kept 5 eaters on saturday and 4 on sunday between the 2 of us, which is great for a novice’s like us (1st week of fishing the Mississippi). Thanks for all the advice, guys.

    hi Wisnwangler,
Sorry to hear to had a few problems with your motor, Steve is really great with helping anyone with just about any problem that comes up. You worked them out, it didn’t stop you from enjoying the weekend, and you did pretty good, way to go. a lot of people would have just packed it up and gone home. Your bio says you are from Prescott, would sure appreciate a note when things warm up in your area, won’t be too long now. Jack..
