Come in Dustin! How is the bite down on Pool 4? Haven’t heard from you lately and was hoping to get some info as I’m hosting none-other than the “Evil Kneivel of Iceberg Jumping” himself! (I won’t mention his name )

Throw us a tidbit of info on how the bite is, if you don’t mind? Thanks!

Boy are you a glutton for punishment. Going fishing with the only guy who does worse on Pool 2 than I do

So true!!! But what’s really bad is that he puts his curse on anyone in the boat with him!

I’m still around just not as much time to play on the computer as I used to .

I was out yesterday and the bite was good for sauger. Myself and a friend had 24 nice sauger. The wind was howling pretty good so I was only limited to casting for eyes in a couple of areas. Only had 5 walleyes casting, all were legal but nothing over 17″ .

With the extremely high winds we had tuesday night the water was dirty for me on Wednesday. Best color was chartreuse pepper ringies, paddle tails and super doo’s. Switching styles of baits often seemed to be a good program for me. Purple/chartreuse tail ringies put a fair number of fish in the boat as well. Orange/chartreuse and black precision heads were best. We did take some fish on plain heads as well but colored heads seemd to see more action. 12′-22′ of water was best for the sauger and the eye’s were right up on the river bank.

Last couple of outings, other than yesterday, I have been doing some exploring in pursuit of new areas and some old that just have not turned on for me yet this fall. I have had a couple “almost fishless” days in my search for new patterns and areas but that’s what it takes to learn something new. Nothing is ever an instant success .

Stay warm out there and let us know how it went.

Thank you very much, sir! Can’t ask for a more detailed report than that….hopefully we can make it pay off.

    Thanks again!
