looks like there are lots of reports… but what the heck!….
started out the morning early tossing ringworms pulled a couple of nice eyes shallow and a smallmouth too…… off from the vermillion sand/rock
then headed down to hay creek and picked up the superdoo sauger bite….. the report of chartruese/pepper with blue head was still hot….. and stayed hot pretty much all day….. we could have stayed on the hay creek fish and pounded them but decided to explore a bit… other places were not as good…. but there were fish around about everywhere…..
later in the day we tryed jerking shad bodies and that went really well…. chartruese glitter…. all in all caught a lot of fish… some over 20….. just a great day…… vertical jigging depths were 20-24 early and 24-28 later…..

well I posted my pix for this trip in another thread… but guess I can double up on them…. guess with all the reports its not really needed… but I will show a pic of the shad we were using.. it did not seem to matter.. just as long as they were green somehow… caught fish on all of them…. the shads are attached…. cuz I cant upload pix to the internet.. dont have any space to do so….

Caught some smallies on ringworms….. and some walleyes too… no pix of them though… guess when I caught them it was like Jon J suggested in another thread….. my pard was too busy putting his ring worm RIGHT IN THERE… where I caught mine!!….
then we got some nice saugs of course…. like everyone has….
and look how few boats up at the dam?? every seen anything like that at THIS time of year?? Ive not…. not on a 70 degree day anyway…
attached are the shads… nothing special.. pretty much anything seemed to work… just give them a good yank and let them plummet.. when you yanked again… bam… hooked fish…. it was amazing how quick they responded to this in the afternoon when the superdoo bite had died out….
